There was this genius of a Musician that was my Abuelitas Musical Director and Guitarist in Argentina for many years. This man previously was also the musical director of the ever famous "Black Pearl" Josephine Baker in the 1930s. Abuelas stories of her days singing and performing Swing and Bolero music with this man will forever be etched in my memories... #raices

It's really quite simple. The most amazing thing about Art in all its forms, be it beauty, music, portraiture, design, etc, is INTERPRETATION. In my life walk I've crossed paths with some of the most influential & creative minds. Precious souls I will always learn from. I've also been subjected to a cynical yet small, self righteous, ego driven group of individuals who lack coming from the heart. To that, I will say this.... Art in all form is such a journey of learning, expression and experiences. Be humble, & be gracious to those who've come before us, and be patient and inspiring to the process of those who will master it long after us.

In DC where the chaos runs amuck, Old Town where the air smells so fresh, Georgetown where there is so much promise for a successful future. Walking by everyone, taking in all the smiles, reminds me that kindness cant be killed. I'm inspired by the sights and sounds of my environment, good and bad. Loud or quiet, beautiful or old and decrepit. I see beauty in it all. I hear music in my head as sort of a score to go along with all that I see. I just want to show it all to her.. She is the reason I see so much beauty. I see it all through her eyes.
